Saving, Importing & Exporting Saves
How the app keeps your progress, and how to move it. Two kinds of saves, both under your control.

Play as usual
Save inside the game the way you always did. The app keeps that save file for you. It is the game's own save, and Import Save and Export Save work on it.
One checkpoint per game
Tap Save on the gameplay bar, or use the pause menu. From the pause menu you can Load the checkpoint or Replace… it with a new one. The pause menu shows when it was saved.
Leave any time
Your latest session is saved automatically when you leave a game. Open the game again to continue. Automatic saves never replace your Quick Save. If the game's own save changed after that snapshot, for example because you imported one, the app skips the older snapshot and starts from the game's save.
Bring progress in
Open the pause menu, tap Import Save and pick the file. It is meant for progress from another emulator. The app checks that the file looks like a valid save for that system, and makes a backup of your current save first. Quick Save is not touched.
Take a copy out
Tap Export Save and choose where to store the file with Android's file picker. You get a copy of this game's own save file, which is ideal for backups or a new device.

Export on the old device
Open the game's pause menu and tap Export Save. Choose a place for the file.

Copy the file across
Move it to your new device the way you normally move files.

Add the same game
Add your own game file on the new device with Add Games.

Import the save
Open the pause menu, tap Import Save and pick the file.
Remember: saves live in the app's private storage, which Android clears on uninstall, and the app is excluded from Android's automatic backups. Export a save before you uninstall.
