One app, three handhelds. Add a Game Boy Color game and it lands in the same library as everything else.
When you add a game, GBA Emulator reads the cartridge header, works out the system and labels it with a blue GBC badge. Use the GBC filter to see only your color games, or leave the filter off and browse everything together.
That means no mode switch and no second app to install. If you are also looking for the Game Boy Advance side, the GBA emulator overview covers it, and the original GB emulator page covers the monochrome classics.
GBC games use the same controls as the original Game Boy: a D-pad, A, B, Start and Select. The L and R buttons only appear for GBA games.

Game Boy Color games were drawn for a small 160×144 screen with limited palettes, so they lean on bold outlines and bright, flat colors. That is the look.
Pixel Perfect keeps every pixel sharp and evenly sized. Smooth uses softer image scaling, which takes the edge off on a modern high-density phone screen. You choose per game in Game Settings, and Pixel Perfect is the default.
You can also switch Picture size between Fit and Original pixels there.

No. GBA Emulator is one app. When you add a Game Boy Color game, the app reads the cartridge header, labels it GBC and files it in the same library as your GB and GBA games.
Can I play GBC games on a GBA emulator?
In this app, yes. GBC files are supported directly, so you do not need a separate emulator. The GB vs GBC vs GBA guide explains how the three systems relate.
Which files does it accept?
Files ending in .gbc, .gb or .gba. The app works out the system from the file itself, so a mislabelled file is still identified correctly. Damaged files, or files that are not real games, will not load.
Do cheats work with GBC games?
Yes. For GBC and GB games the cheat screen offers Auto Detect, GameShark and Game Genie. Cheats are kept per game. See using cheats and Gameshark codes.
Does the app include Game Boy Color games?
No. It is emulator software only. You add your own compatible game files.
